James Willard Keene's Obituary
James Willard Keene, Retired SFC United States Army of Kaufman Texas. Born February 3, 1926 passed from this life on December 8, 2014. He served his country for 22 years in the Army. Received the Purple Heart while enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in June 1945 while serving on Okinawa Island. James is preceded in death by his parents, Earl VanDorn Keene and Pauline Speed Keene; brothers, Linwood Keene, Alfred Keene and sister, Virginia Earle Keene Duvalle; and son, James Marshall Keene. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen Ruth Gabriel Keene; daughters, Brenda Kay Keene Marosi, and Polly Ruth Keene Galloway; son, Earl VanDorn Keene; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. The funeral service for James will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Kaufman, with visitation one hour prior. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.
