Jim, you were a friend forever and I will miss you. I cherish the great times we all had and regret the ones we never got to. Debbie keep your chin up you married a great man with a great legacy. I’m extremely sorry I could not stay for the complete service and beg your forgiveness that events at my house would not allow it. It was an honor to work with you Chief Kitchens. You were an asset to the City of Coppell – to the CAD and, to the CPD Communications Division. You were helpful and available at the drop of a dime to anybody in Communications through the years.Rest in Peace Jim and thank you for everything you did for us.
Jim was such a personable man. He truly loved helping people and always made himself available anytime any of the Communications Division personnel had questions on procedures. He stopped by the PD everyday to say hi to everyone and to answer any questions or to assist in training. “At ease Chief Kitchens, Rest in Peace”.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I am proud to have served side by side with Jim, at the Coppell Fire Department. He had a huge impact on my career and he taught me a lot not only about the fire service but about how to live life. One of the best things that Jim showed me is to enjoy life which I know he did! He loved to travel and enjoyed time with his family and friends. I was lucky to get to enjoy a few great trips with him and my dad fishing in Arkansas. Jim will be missed but never forgotten.
