James Leonard Lundy's Obituary
James Leonard Lundy Jr., devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather born on January 10, 1952, in Dallas, Texas. He passed away suddenly from heart failure on May 26, 2017, in Mineola, Texas. James spent his early childhood in Oak Cliff and then his family moved to Lakewood where he developed several lifelong friends and met his first wife, the mother of his 3 children. Raised his family in South Garland and took great pride in providing for them, coached little league for his boys and softball for his daughter Lizzy. His passionate pursuit to provide the best for his family led to the ownership of a successful commercial construction company, Lundy Services, Inc. He enjoyed many years of entertaining others, hunting and fishing, traveling to Brazil and Mexico. He was incredibly generous, full of strength and gratitude. He had a deep love for his country, and a strong dedication to his fellow man. His last few years were spent retired in East Texas, enjoying life with his beloved wife and best friend Janet, family and cattle ranching with his close friend Bryan Terry. One of his biggest joys was to drive in every Tuesday to spend time with his daughter Liz, and grandkids Hayden and Emma. And Sundays were enjoyed with his grandson Lincoln. Countless memories made by so many with the man we knew and loved. He will be incredibly missed by all.
