James H. Lockhart born June 11, 1943 in Hamilton, Alabama and passed away August 7, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents, Odie and Uirl Lockhart; brothers, Wilson Lockhart and Bill Lockhart; sisters, Dean Ritter, Wilma Avery. James is survived by his wife of 36 years Janis Lockhart of Dallas, Texas; son, James Lockhart of Palmer, Texas, David Lockhart of Lewisville, Texas; daughter, Lisa Barker and husband, Clint of Garland, Texas, Amanda Wise and husband, Micky of Seven Points, Geraldine Weaver of Mississippi, Lorene Vann of Illinois, 3 granddaughters, Kelsey Barker, Amber Lockhart and Kaitlyn Farmer; 9 grandsons, Brandon Barker, Dillon Warren, Nolan Wise, Nicholas Lockhart, Michael Lockhart, James Lockhart, Cody Lockhart, Dustin Lockhart, Benjamin Lockhart and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial service for James Lockhart will take place in Hamilton, Alabama at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
