James Marion Martin's Obituary
Martin, James “Jimmy” On June 30, 2009, at the age of 95, James went home to be with his Lord. Born on Nov. 30, 1913 in Oklahoma, he is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Virginia Shepherd Martin. He will be missed and cherished by his family including his brother Frank Martin; sons, Don and his wife Bettye, and Jim and his wife Linda; grand-children- Lisa and John Chason, Don and Faith Martin, Tammi Martin, Ryan Martin, Heather and Johnathon Schmidt, Courtney Treadaway, Marshall and Alison Treadaway, and Lauren and Caleb Midgley; great-grandchildren: Heidi and Keith Floyd, David and Kailee Grulich, Holly and Josh Robertson, Stephanie, Wade, and Grace Martin, Taylor Grulich, Aidan Schmidt, Parker Treadaway, Hannah and Myles Midgley; great-great grand-children Avery and Kinley Grulich. Jimmy was the co-owner of Graphic Engraving Co. in Dallas for 25 years. Upon retirement he lived with Virginia at Lake Tawakoni where he loved to fish. His life was exemplified by one of service whether it was to his family or church. He served as a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Quinlan. Services to be held at Restland in the Abbey Chapel on July 2, 2009 at 3:00 pm.
