James Leslie McDonald's Obituary
James Leslie McDonald, age 76, of Wylie, Texas passed away on December 16, 2020. He was born on December 22, 1943 to Leo and Inez McDonald in Loogootee, Indiana. James married Mickey on September 7, 1963 in Bedford, Indiana. He was an Aircraft Engineer; who loved music; sending Friday funny “Nonsense” emails; traveled globally; a devoted husband and father who loved ancestry research. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Inez McDonald. He is survived by Mickey, his wife of 57 years; son, Sean McDonald of Alvarado, Texas; Daughter, Dawn Rogers, son-in-law Wesley Rogers, and grandson Brock Barksdale of Alvarado, Texas; brothers, L. Ray, Gary, Gus McDonald and sister, Mary Ann Buttz; he also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. There will be a 1-hour visitation prior to service.
