MCMURREY, JAMES FRANKLIN Born November 16, 1944 in Alice, Texas and passed away December 10, 2012 in Richardson, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents, Louie Earl and Thelma Daugherty McMurrey. James is survived by his wife, Gracie; daughter, Milly Shannon McMurrey and husband, Doug Davies; sister, Lou Stafford and husband, Dave; grandchildren, Alex McMurrey and Andrea Davies; nephews, Michael Martin (Hope), Clay Martin (Joanna), Cole Powers; and his 3 most precious Yorkies. James was a proud U. S. Navy Veteran, earned a Bachelor’s degree in business from Texas A&I-Kingsville and his MBA from Texas A&M-Commerce. He retired after 34 years of service with Blue Cross/Blue Shield as Senior Director of Treasury. His passions included fishing, reading, hunting, good food, traveling the world, and spoiling his grandchildren. Live well, laugh often, and love much. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, December 14, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richardson Animal Shelter, 1330 Columbia Dr, Richardson, TX 75081.
