James R. Metcalf's Obituary
Born September 10, 1921 in Etna, Pennsylvania and passed away October 16, 2015 in Rockwall, Texas, age 94. James served our country in WWII Army Air Corps 1941-1945. He worked for Braniff Airlines from 1945 to 1982 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 plus years. Son of John and Rachel Metcalf, Etna, Pennsylvania. Married 70 plus years to his beloved wife Billie Grace (Borchardt) that is awaiting him in Heaven along with Son Jimmy Allen Metcalf KIA USMC. James is survived by Daughter M. Kay Chamberlain and husband Joe B. Chamberlain; Grandchildren J. Chad Walker and Wife, Kim Walker; Great-grandchildren Court Walker and Addyson Walker. Grandchildren T. Chip Chamberlain and fiance Gayle Thatcher; Grandchildren Lisa Metcalf / Turner husband Todd Turner; Great-grandchild Jessica Turner. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will take place at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Pastor Omar Rikabi FUMC of Heath Officiating. James will be interred next to his beloved wife and son. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
