James Patrick Moore Sr.'s Obituary
MOORE, JAMES PATRICK James Moore passed away on Feb. 2, 2008. He was born August 31, 1920 in Cedar Hill, Texas to Jack and Cloe Moore. He married Virginia Whorton on April 5, 1941. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 2007. He was a fifty-year member of East Dallas Christian Church, where he was an elder and a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a fifty plus year member of the Grand Lodge of Texas, A.F. & A.M., a 32 degree Master Mason. James was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, parents Jack and Cloe Moore, a daughter Carolyn Moore and grandson Garret Moore. His three siblings also preceded him in death: brothers S.T. Moore, Jack Moore and sister Mildred Donham. He is survived by his sons James P. (Pat) Jr. and his wife Joyce Moore of Georgetown, Texas, David and his wife Becky Moore of Plano, grandson Jim and his wife Carol Moore of Dallas, and great-grandson Braeger Moore of Dallas, Step-grandsons Tim and Jay Bleeker and several step-grandchildren also survive her as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 6, 2008 followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by Restland Funeral Home, (972) 238-7111.
