James Everett Nelson's Obituary
James Everett Nelson, beloved husband of the late Beverly Mae Nelson, passed away April 7, 2015 at the age of 83. Everett was born in 1931, in Muskogee, OK. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean war from 1950 to 1953. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1957, he moved to Dallas to work for Texas Instruments where he was an engineer for 38 years. Everett was an active member of his church, Royal Lane Baptist, for 58 years. He served as deacon and head of the kitchen. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Beverly Mae Nelson, his parents, Herbert and Peggy Nelson, and his brother, George Nelson. He is survived by two sons, Jim and Terry Nelson, and two grandchildren, Morgan and Matthew Nelson. The visitation for James Nelson will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. James will be laid to rest at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, TX, Friday, April 17, 2015.
