James David Pearson's Obituary
James David Pearson of Plano, TX passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024. He was a beloved husband and father. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Porter Pearson and sister Patricia Merino. Jim was born in Statesville, North Carolina to Jesse and Mildred Shoemaker. He was an Air Force veteran serving 4 years reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. He attended Mitchell College and graduated from East Carolina University. During his college years pre and post service he played basketball and acted in school
plays. He spent many years with the Ford Motor Company in the tractor division, holding positions in finance, marketing, and sales. Jim loved dancing, working out, golfing, keeping up with his favorite sports, and traveling the world. During his later years he enjoyed going on cruises with friends.
Jim is survived by his longtime companion Patsy Weeks, sons David and Daniel (Debbie), grandchildren Beth (Travis) and Kristina, five great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He will be missed by all his family and friends. Jim’s final resting place is in Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers please donate to The
