James Purvis' Obituary
Born October 2, 1936 in Nogales, Arizona. Parents, James C. Purvis and Mary Josephine Kay. Married to Judy Purvis for 46 years. Survived by daughter Gena Corley and husband Jim. James attended college at Texas A&M University, was in the Corps, majored in Botany/Horticulture and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. James had been a horticulturist for the City of Dallas. A member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church since 1971. Visitation will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church followed by a service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Houser Mission Offering at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church or to the White Rock Center of Hope, also through Shiloh Terrace.
