James Richard Redding's Obituary
James was born on January 26, 1931 in Dallas, Tx and passed away May 31, 2009 in Richardson, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Redding; son, Kelly Redding and brother, Jack Redding. James is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and John LaBrie; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Vicki Redding; Jacques and Mary Redding and Sean Redding; grandchildren: Jerrod, Blake, Hayden, Aaron, Rachel, Zoe and Shane; great grandson, Darren. James was a graduate of Baylor University where he attended on a Tennis Scholarship and then played doubles in the Davis Cup Tournament. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean war; he was also awarded gold medals for singles. Graveside services will be held at 9:30AM, Friday, June 5, 2009 at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00-8:00PM, Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home.
