James Ray Steele's Obituary
In loving memory of James Ray Steele,
born in Denison, Texas in 1946 to Mable and Lloyd Steele. He peacefully departed this world January 18, 2024, at the age of 77.
Beyond the service and professional work that he did for the U.S.Navy, during the Vietnam War and at TXU Energy until his retirement, he leaves behind a loving family, his wife of 38 years, Vicki Marr Steele, daughters Tammy (Casey) Steele Flinn, and Theresa Wilkins, his stepsons, Jonathan (Vickii) Gholson, and Michael (Terri) Gholson, and numerous of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial and funeral service will be held this week, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Restland Abbey, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243 at 10:00 am, to honor and celebrate his life. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 6:00-8:00 pm at Restland.
As we bid him farewell, let us remember him for the warmth and friendliness he shared with love to all of his family and friends.
May he rest in peace, his legacy living on in the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
