I am james's grandaughter. I will miss him very much. My papa James meant everything to me. He was always there for me. The last time we saw eachother before his death was on my birthday. He got me to actually swim in the ocean without being scared. He also got me this purple neclace that i never take off, because that is all i really have left of him, and it means alot to me. I knew James all my life. He was my Dad's best friend and although I didn't see him much the last few years of his life, I have the fondest memories of him. I remember when I'd come to visit my Dad on weekends and every weekend James would have a new toy for me from one of those claw machines. I thought it was the coolest thing. He was always so nice to me and I'd venture to say a big part of my growing up experience. I will always remember his kindness and the good person that he was. He had a great heart and I'm guessing that God wanted his company a little sooner than we wanted to give him up. All my thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.

I lived in Mesquite with Tami and James in 1984. They were always at a dance contest or fishing. It was rare to see them at home… I hope James finds the peace he couldn't find in this life. He is missed. – Weldon
I am very sorry to hear of James passing. I had the pleasure or working with him at the MKT railroad for many years. His wonderful sense of humor and that hugh smile of his, made many long days a lot more bearable. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. He has probably already found a great fishing spot up there and is wearing them out. He will be missed.
I was so very sad to hear of James death. It was such a pleasure knowing him even if for such a short time. He was a very friendly neighbor – always talking about fishing and what lures to use; proud to show his projects at the house. He also made us some awesome green lights for our canal. BV will not be the same without him across the street. He will be missed and always in our memories. Blessings to the family in this time of great sorrow.
