James Luther Talbert III Birth; February 4, 1954 Death: December 8, 2019James Luther Talbert III,65, went on to meet the Lord in eternal life on December 8, 2019. He was born in Oakridge, TN on February 4, 1954 to James Luther Talbert Junior and Barbara Jean Talbert. Soon to follow were his sister Vivian Lee Talbert, brother Thomas Lake Talbert, and sister Linda Carol Talbert. Together they moved to several different locations across the United States. Finally, their journey brought them to Garland, TX.James attended Garland High School and enjoyed his studies, as well as, football. He exceeded on field as a full back and linebacker. After graduating high school, he met and married his first wife, Rita Laymon. Together they had a daughter, Stephanie. After, twenty-two years that union ended.James went on to find his second wife, Felicing Ramos. They were married February 14, 1999 in the Philippines surrounded by Felicing’s family and friends. Their son James Luther Talbert IV was born on their fourth wedding anniversary. They happily spent their life together raising their son.Being a pressman for the Dallas Morning News was a great joy for James. He enjoyed his job for thirty-five years. His experience and expertise in working in the pressroom brought praise and awe from other companies across the world.Family fist, always, was James’s motto. He would do anything to help and be there for family. Family dinners were common and a staple in his life. It is at these family dinners strong bonds were formed. Additionally, spending time and sharing knowledge with his son was very important to him.Other joys in James’s life besides his family was music, science fiction, and history. In his younger years, he spent time in nature-camping, hiking, and swimming. His interest later in life turned to computers. His love for the Lord, Jesus Christ, grew throughout the years.He is survived by his wife Felicing Talbert; daughter Stephanie Morris; son: James Talbert IV; sister: Linda Talbert; brother and sister in law: Thomas and Nakina Talbert; granddaughters: Kathryn Morris and Abigail Morris. His death was preceded by his loving parents James and Barbara Talbert and his sister Vivian Talbert.
