James Sherman Tate's Obituary
James Sherman Tate, 84, of Red Oak TX died January 7, 2021 in Mesquite, TX. He was born November 1, 1936 to James "Massie" Tate and Gladys Bartlett Tate in Kingsport, TN. He married Janice Keith on April 9, 1976. He was in top security at Texas Instruments for 18 years when he retired. He is survived by his son, James Tate Jr (Falmouth, KY), Michael Tate (Elgin, IL), step-son Billy Keith Boyd (Pendleton, OR), step-daughter Jannica Daniel (Red Oak, TX), Rebecca Borton (Mesquite, TX), sister Leola Nottingham (Antioch, IL), and brother Maurice Tate (Land O'Lakes, WI). He was preceded in death by wife Janice Keith and step-son Robert Boyd. He was a man who never knew a stranger.
