James Richard Troyer's Obituary
TROYER, JAMES RICHARD Of Garland, Texas passed away June 25, 2012 at the age of 70 following an extended illness. Jim was born on December 29, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska to parents Charles Deal Troyer and Gladys Wilhelmene (Kell). Jim lived in the Dallas area from the age of ten and attended St. Marks, Thomas Jefferson H.S. and UT Arlington. He worked in sales throughout his career, concluding with twenty years in steel and wire sales in Carrollton, Texas. Throughout his life, Jim derived much joy from all things mechanical especially cars, motorcycles and boats. Above all, Jim was happiest having fun with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Ann, son James Richard Troyer, Jr., daughter Trisha Ann Schmidt, grandchildren Richard Eman Troyer and Audrey Thompson, great grandchild Daniella Grace Thompson, his sister Joan Troyer Sears, sister-in-law Mary Beth Ruotolo, brothers-in-law Thomas F. Ruotolo and John Mark Griffith and numerous additional family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association .
