James E. Ubben's Obituary
James Everett Ubben, born in Pekin, IL January 30, 1919, died Friday, April 16, 2010, at home in Dallas, after a long illness. The son of Ella Veerman and Theodore Ubben, he graduated from University of Illinois and worked as a metallurgical engineer, traveling the world for American Petroleum Institute. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Married to Sue Boyd on June 7, 1946, he is survived by children Cindy Causey, Ted Ubben, Carol Ferris and Leigh Ann Vernon; and grandchildren Adam Mitchell, Molly Mitchell, Dillon Vernon, Beau Vernon, Ashley Ubben, Jett Ubben, Cash Ubben, Baron Ubben, and stepdaughters Erin Causey, Sarah Causey and Traci Mitchell. Interment will be at Restland in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Park Cities Baptist Church.
