James Vincent Udosen's Obituary
James Vincent Udosen, of Aubrey, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, in Denton, Texas. He was 67.
He was born on January 10, 1956, in Obio Offot, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, to Chief Vincent and Madam Mary Silas Udosen.
James earned his Bachelor’s Degree in English at Texas College in Tyler, Texas.
He married Idongesit (Idy) Iwot on November 5, 1977, in Iman-Ikot Abasi, Nigeria.
A Christian, James was a people person and was very sociable. He loved his family and his hometown of Obio Offot, Uyo, Nigeria. James was an avid sports lover and an undying fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved dancing and listening to music. Most of all, James had a large heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
James is lovingly survived and remembered by: his wife, Idy; his daughter, Ndifreke Itata; his sons Etido Udosen and Imobong Udosen; his daughters-in-law Unyime and Erika; his son-in-law, Chief Itata Itata; and his grandchildren Itata Itata, Jr., Semira Udosen, Dianabasi Itata, Darabasi Itata, Nicola Udosen, Maxwell Udosen and Princewill Udosen. James hails from a large family with many siblings including his brother, Bassey Udosen of Houston, Texas, and others in Nigeria.
Family will receive friends at Restland Funeral Home on Friday, August 18, 2023, between 6:00PM and 8:00PM.
Funeral services will commence at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 19, 2023, in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Interment in Restland Memorial Park will follow the ceremony.
