James Joseph White's Obituary
James Joseph White
Born August 22, 1941 in Dallas to Glenn Ludwick White and Leora Cearly White. Jim was a graduate of University of Texas at Arlington. After graduation he took flying lessons over the summer and he was hooked. His first aviation job was flying airmail out of Oklahoma City. He built flying hours by teaching flying lessons and aerobatics. He was chief pilot for Falcon Airways when they started out with 4 pilots and only one airplane and grew to be one of the largest third-level carriers in the country. After Falcon closed its doors, Jim flew for Transwestern Exploration until he became chief pilot for Jet East. Jim worked for Martin Sprocket and Gear as their pilot where he spent 30 years before retirement at age 71. Jim had many people he considered his closest friends, even if he had not seen them in a long time. Jim was an amazing husband to his wife of 47 years, Vicki Shelton White. He was a loving father to his son Robert Glenn (Bobby) White, who like his father was a pilot for many years. Jim is survived by his wife and son as well as his sister Gloria Sue White Kinsel and nieces Beth Minyard and Barbara Novotny and nephew Conner Novotny as well as his mother in law and many other brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
