James (Jimmy) William Boyd Jr.'s Obituary
James William Boyd, Jr. (Jimmy), age 59, of Mesquite, Texas, died on December 5, 2017 following a brief illness.Jimmy was born October 10, 1958 to James William Boyd and Martha Rothfus Boyd. He was a graduate of North Garland High School and was an employee of Joe Funk Construction. After high school, Jimmy managed Taco Bells for a few years. Then he joined the Joe Funk Construction Company, where he worked for 37 years. He was known by his managers and co-workers as friendly, reliable, hard-working, and always positive.Jimmy is survived by his mother, Martha Rothfus Boyd of Dallas; brother Jeff (and Beth) Boyd of Allen; sister, Robin (and Chuck) Stilwell of Houston; nieces and nephews Spencer Stilwell (Houston), Graham Stilwell (Austin), Marty Ebert (Dallas), Allison Ebert, Julien Ebert and Hudson Baxter (McKinney); and many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Boyd and Rothfus families. He was preceded in death by his father James William (Bill) Boyd. Following cremation, his remains will be buried beside his Boyd grandparents and three aunts at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00am at Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church (8525 Audelia, Dallas, Texas 75238).
