Mr. James Woodrow Williams' Obituary
Loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Born the youngest child to Richard and Susan Williams on April 16, 1919 in Liberty Grove, TX. At age 88, Jim died on November 26, 2007 in Garland, TX. Jim is a WWII veteran and served in the South Pacific. He married Katherine Bate on April 4, 1942; they were married 53 years before her death in 1995. He was employed with General Telephone of the Southwest in Texarkana for several years, before returning to the MK&T Railroad where he worked for 25 years and eventually retired in 1982. He is preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Charlotte and son-in-law Gene McKenzie, of Garland, son Bill Williams and wife Kathy, of Dallas, grandchildren, Diana Flynn and husband Tim, of Maine, Sheila Flores and husband Daniel, of California, Jeana McCannon and husband Collin, of Huntsville, TX. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and dear friend, Jayne Williams.
