WOLF, JAMES EDWIN born February 1, 1921 died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Dallas, Tx. at the age of 91, one week from his 92nd birthday. He is survived by Joan his wife of 57 years; son, Steve Wolf; daughter, Loretta Gonzalez (Bobby); son in law, Tracy Graham; grandchildren, Nathan Gonzalez (Jilliann), Angela Gonzalez Hall (BJ), Matthew Gonzalez, and Alton and Elliott Graham; brothers, John and Robert Wolf; sister, Louise Welch, and many nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Virgie Wolf, and children William Craig Wolf and Karen Lynne Wolf Graham. Jim was born in Mountain Home Arkansas,grew up in Salem Arkansas and lived his married life in Dallas, Tx. Jim attended college at both the University of Arkansas and a college in Chapel Hill, NC. Jim’s studies were interrupted by World War II. Jim served as a Troop Carrier in the Phillippines and New Guinea. He earned numerous medals during his service time. Jim was a member of the Jungle Skippers. Jim was a commercial airline pilot for 28 years with American Airlines. He retired with the rank of captain. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Disabled American Veterans. Funeral Services will be held at Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Dallas on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Abbey Chapel.
