James Wallace Womack's Obituary
James Wallace Womack, age 95, passed away of Covid on Saturday, January 1, 2022 after a lengthy illness. He was born June 12, 1926 in Dallas, Texas to Lesta Wallace Womack and Alberta Louise Cloud Womack. JW met his first wife, Jean Frances McKee Womack while attending Highland Park High School. After attending SMU, he served in the Army and was stationed in Italy for two years. On his return, he and Jean were married and had three children, Jamie, Bart and Dee. They were married until Jean passed away after 62 years of marriage. JW and Sandra Wetherington met at the Tradition at Prestonwood and soon fell in love. They were married at the Tradition on July 20, 2012. Professionally, he built and remodeled some of the most beautiful homes in the park cities. He was active member in Skillman Church of Christ and in his later years found a home at Preston Road Church of Christ. He will be sincerely and lovingly missed by his family, friends and the special health care workers who cared for him so beautifully. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta Louise Cloud Womack, his father, Lesta Wallace Womack, 1st wife, Jean Frances McKee Womack, daughter, Jamie Evelyn Womack, Siblings, Robert Cloud Womack, Lesta Gertrude Womack Stacy He is survived by his wife, Sandra Womack, his children, Bart Womack (Michele), Dee Womack Palmgren (Wayne) Grandchildren, Jim Bob Womack (Sarah), Hillary Womack, Lauren Palmgren, Andrew Palmgren (Hayley), Marissa Cuellar (Diego) Great Grandchildren, Braydon Womack, Bo Womack, Layne Womack, Sloane Womack, Everly Palmgren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm in Memorial Chapel followed by a family graveside service.
