Jan McGlasson's Obituary
Age 80, passed away on June 14, 2011. Jan attended Baylor University. She was a member of the Board, Officer, Sponsor and Committee Chairwoman for the Capital Speakers of Washington D.C., a Member of Auxiliary of the Greater Washington D.C. Salvation Army, Member of Steering Committee and Fund-raising Ball Committee for Project Hope (World Medical Assistance Group), Fund-raising Ball Committee for the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association. She was also a member of the Rotary Club of Washington Auxiliary, the Commradery Book Club and a faithful member of the Heights Baptist Church. Preceding her in death are her parents Marvin Bell and Mabel Bell, husband Morey “Rusty” McGlasson and her twin sister Ann Fendley. She is survived by her son Russ McGlasson and his wife Genny, grandchildren Bethany Redder and Michael McGlasson, niece Jamie Morgan and Nephew Jim Fendley, II. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Heights Baptist Church, 201 West Renner Rd. Richardson, TX 75080. A graveside service will be held at 10 am Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Restland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday night from 6-8pm at Restland Funeral Home.
