Jane Babin's Obituary
BABIN, JANE born May 11, 1923, in Dallas, Texas passed away August 11, 2013 after a long struggle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Jean, who died in 2004, and her parents, John A. Babin and Fannie Moorhead Babin, all of Dallas. Jane was a 1941 graduate of North Dallas High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree in 1945 from Southern Methodist University. She was a life-long member of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation where she, along with her sister, was a dedicated and devoted supporter of the parish’s many programs, including the Thrift House, Christian Education Sunday School activities/events, Marmion Library Guild, and the Acosta Smith Chapter. She enjoyed reading, films, art, and walking. Jane is survived by Nick Moorhead of North Carolina, and Kristy Torres of Amarillo, and many friends. She will be remembered as a loving and dear daughter, sister, and friend. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 21, at 3:00 PM, at the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation Memorial Chapel, located at 3966 McKinney Avenue, Dallas. Burial was at Restland Memorial Park.
