Lit a candle in memory of Jane Belle Evans
I remember Jane fondly and always think of my husband, Bill,(during his tenure as Minister of Music) teaching Jim to sing when he said he couldn't. He became a featured soloist with the East Dallas Christian Church Choir, and we often enjoyed social times with Jim, Jane and their family. Im so sorry to learn of Jane's passing.
What wonderful memories I have of growing up just one house down from the Evans. Jane always let Joanie & I spread out dolls all over the playroom for weeks at a time. Looking back, Jay and Jeff probably didn't appreciate our mess. We had good times there in the summer and on weekends. Jane and Joanie were the first friends we met when I moved to a new school. They made us feel so welcome. Jane also took me on my first trip, with Joanie, to Weir's Furniture Store and the HP Soda Fountain to have a treat. Fond memories that will never be forgotten.
