Jane Hamilton's Obituary
Jane Hamilton passed away peacefully May 20, 2011. Margaret Jane Rutley Hamilton was born October 22, 1928 to Peggy and Ted Rutley in Washington, D.C. She attended George Washington University where she met the love of her life, Jack H. Hamilton. They were married 63 years and shared a love of travel and philanthropy. Jane loved to paint, write poetry, and entertain. Each year their Christmas card was a creative surprise, usually including an original poem and drawing. She was always the ultimate storyteller and never without a joke. Jane is survived by her two children; son Dan Hamilton and his wife Gena, daughter Diane Buford and her husband Kim. She was “Nannie” to seven grandchildren: David, Alycyn, Scott, Julie, Kyle, Erin, and Brian. We will miss her so much, but she was ready to be with her Lord and her love, Jack. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Baylor Healthcare System Foundation.
