Jane Ligon McGuffey's Obituary
Jane Ligon McGuffey passed on to be with the Lord on Friday June 3, 2016 at the Park Manor Nursing Home in Conroe, Texas. Jane was born on April 23, 1931 to Ronald E. Ligon and Allie Burrus Ligon in Byers, Texas. She married C. B. McGuffey in Wichita Falls, Texas on January 28, 1955. They were married for 29 years before his passing in 1985. Jane was a homemaker, cosmetologist and business woman for over 50 years. She loved Jesus and family more than anything else. Jane has now joined her husband and their loving daughter, Debra Beck, after many years of declining health, which she fought bravely. Jane was also preceded in death by her brother Buddy Ligon and two sisters, Toots Steelman and Ann Baggett. Jane leaves behind to celebrate her life: one daughter, Tamra McGuffey of Conroe; son Van and his wife Patience of Van; son Charles McGuffey of Duncanville; grandchildren George Beck, Jennifer Beck, Angela Bott, Kim Hollon, Brandy McGuffey and Katy McGuffey; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and one on the way, brother John Ligon, as well as, other cherished family members. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place at 12 noon on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Burial will follow after the service at the Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
