Jane Charlene Merrell's Obituary
MERRELL, JANE C. (JANIE) born November 12, 1935 in Lake City, Minnesota and passed away May 25, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. In her early years she worked at the Mayo Clinic in social services. She then moved to Chicago where she started a family, moved to Los Angeles in the 1960’s and eventually settled in Dallas where she lived for the last 27 years. Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Gignac and husband, Chris, of Dallas, TX. Janie was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her parents, Oliver and Pearl Johnson. Janie was a lifelong lover of animals. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, TX 75006 (operationkindness.org).
