Jane Marie Moomaw's Obituary
MOOMAW, JANE MARIE KEELE born on January 23, 1940, in Dallas, TX, passed away in Dallas, TX on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. On this date, the world lost and Heaven gained a beautiful, brilliant, elegant, raconteur, and multi-talented woman. She was preceded in death by her mother, Etta Gray McClenan, step-father, George J. “Bill” McClenan, father, James E. Keele, and brother, Ron McClenan. A lifelong Dallas resident, she was educated in the DISD at Asher Silberstein Elementary, A.W. Spence Jr. High, and North Dallas High School Class of 1958. She was a contributing member of the V.H. Hexter and R.T. Hill PTAs, President of the Bryan Adams PTA, PTA Life Member, and Charter Board Member of the North Dallas High School Alumni Association. She enjoyed golf, and was a member of Dallas Athletic Club and Brookhaven CC. She had Jesus in her heart since childhood. A devout Christian, she was a long-time member of Lakeview/Casa View Christian Church after transferring from East Dallas Christian and Colonial Baptist. She was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years, Henry H. Moomaw, Jr., her son Henry H. Moomaw, III, daughter-in-law Chris Moomaw, granddaughter Rachel Leann Moomaw, grandson William Henry Moomaw, sister Lisa Massena, nieces Stacey Morrison and Krissi Reeves, nephews, and cousins. Known as Jane Marie, Honey, Mom, or Grammy, her caring family and many, many friends will truly miss Jane. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday March 24, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Good Friday, March 25th in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Clarence Corbin, Ted Davis, Robert Mackey, Bobby Myles, Jacquille Myles, Charles Smith, Jerry Smith, and Bob Wyatt. Honorary pallbearers are her fellow classmates from NDHS Class of 1958, James Barber, Jim Basham, Dr. Michael Gruber, Ken Lancaster, Dr. John Lavery, and Kermit “Bubba” Stewart. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Healing Hands Ministries of Dallas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
