Jane Brown Nicholson's Obituary
Ms. Jane Brown Nicholson, Age 95, passed away peacefully in her home in Mesquite, Texas on August 2, 2023.
Jane was born April 29, 1928 in Henderson, Texas.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Charles Brown, and mother, Emma Pearl Wylie. Also preceeded in death by daughter Susan Joy Morton, brother Charles Brown Jr., sister Charline Shattuck, and brother Austin Brown.
Survived by grandchildren Misty Jenkins and husband David, Kyan Stone and husband Casey, great grandchildren Clayton Jenkins, Kenzlie Jenkins, and Cash Stone, brother Sidney Brown and wife Sue, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends that have become family.
Jane graduated from Henderson High School and received a certificate from American Institute of Banking. Following that, she worked at several area banks and finally retired from J.P. Morgan Chase Bank where she had been a teller for many years.
Jane was a member of Mimosa Lane Baptist Church since 1969 and also was part of the Agape Women’s Sunday School group.
She participated in many social organizations including Sunnyvale Garden Club, Richard Bard Daughters of the American Revolution, and Hiram Bennett Daughters of Republic of Texas.
Jane will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who know and love her.
Funeral services will commence at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Bob Cavin officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral in the Garden of Veterans I at Restland Memorial Park.
