Jane Anderson Williams' Obituary
Jane Anderson Williams, 84, of Dallas, Texas, died peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2018. She was born August 10, 1934 to Charles “Gus” Anderson and Emily “Polly” Waller Anderson in Lake Creek, Texas. She married Ross M Williams on June 8, 1956 in Hutchins, Texas. A graduate of North Texas State University, she taught first and second grade for many years both in Dallas and Midland, Texas. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Richardson, Pathfinders Sunday School class, and the United Methodist Women. She was a long time member and volunteer of the Assistance League of Dallas, a member of the James Campbell Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Preston Hollow Reviewers Book Club, and her beloved Thursday Gals Quilting Group.Her faith in the Lord was deep and rich and real and was the cornerstone of a life dedicated to the service of others. She was a true southern lady, a devoted wife, an incomparable mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend.Jane is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth McGee and husband Preston, and Emily Polarolo, her grandchildren, Peyton McGee and wife Katelaine, Emily McGee, Abby McGee and Kelsey Polarolo, her great-grandson, Brooks McGee, her sister Nan Kendrick, sister-in-law Babe Williams, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Ross Williams and her parents Gus and Polly Anderson.Burial will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 2nd at DFW National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3rd at First United Methodist Church of Richardson, 503 N. Central Expwy, Dallas, followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Richardson or Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
