Jane Comer Wood's Obituary
Jane Comer Wood was born May 2, 1932 and received her eternal blessing November 17, 2022 and is currently joyously celebrating with loved ones. Among many friends, she is with her husband Robert Joseph Wood; two sons Richard Comer Wood and Randall Terry Wood; parents Marjorie Mankin Comer and Theodore Luman Comer.
Robert Joseph Wood, Jr., wife Allie Thompson Wood and two granchildren Chelle Young Wood and Robert Joseph Wood, III wish to see all who can come and celebrate with us. Jane was a lifelong member of the Dallas Deaf Culture, Dallas Association of the Deaf and the Dallas Deaf Club.
She was a craftswoman of many proficient skills. Many slippers, blankets, and sweaters came from her knitting and crochet. Needlepoint pillows, pictures, ornaments and more were gifts to all. So many art forms she studied, crafted and worked the past 90 years
Jane was small in stature, but by far, larger than any person her size, a consummate cook, she was always begged to bring one special of hers or another! She always cooked for every request, holiday or hungry boy.
Jane was a dog and cat whisperer. Many many dogs and cats were part of her life's journey. She had an uncanny ablility to show them all how to love each other and if they resisted, she MADE them do it.
Special thanks and prayers for Mom's end of life care givers; Shay Daniel and Maya Jones as well as Amity Hospice, Homewatch Care Givers. With special prayers reserved for the best, kindest, most compassionate Oncologist ever, Gill Kirk Patrick for his loving care of mom.
Jane's celebration of life will be held at Restand Funeral Home in Dallas. Visitation will take place on December 6, 2022 from 4 PM - 6 PM with her Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 PM.
Memorials can be sent to Harley's Dream, Berthond, Colorado EIN #81-4432191
