Janelle Hutson Davis' Obituary
DAVIS, JANELLE HUTSON After a long and valiant battle with a paralyzing stroke and Alzheimer’s, we are sad to announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Florence Janelle Hutson passed away on February 23, 2010, at age 83. Janelle was born on March 30, 1926 in Haynesville, Louisiana to Ore and Clara Hutson. She graduated from Baylor University in 1947 with a Bachelor of Music degree. Janelle married her college sweetheart Joseph S. Davis on June 2, 1946. She was president of ESA Sorority and a member of B.U.M.M.S. (Baylor University Music Majors), class of 1947 and 1948. Janelle was employed as a public school music teacher and also taught in-home private lessons. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Joe; daughters, Sandra Youngblood and husband Bill, Anne Kunde and husband Jeff; son, Jeff Davis and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Laura Youngblood and husband Brian Fitzgerald, Jeremy Youngblood and wife Grantsie, Jessica Kunde and husband Sloan Ozanne, Cheryl Kunde, Ryan, Shelby, Hannah, Jaycee, and Hunter Davis; great grandchildren, Kellen and Clarissa Fitzgerald, Caden Pevehouse, and Dillon Ozanne (due in 1 month); sister, Nancy Baxter and husband Hugh; niece, Betsy Baxter;and nephew, Rade Baxter. Janelle was preceded in death by her parents, Ore and Clara Hutson; sister, Annie Eloise Hutson; brother, Carroll Hutson; and son, Joseph Hutson Davis. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Restland Wildwood Chapel with interment following at Restland Memorial Park. The pallbearers are: Bill Youngblood, Jeremy Youngblood, Brian Fitzgerald, Jeff Kunde, Sloan Ozanne, and Ryan Davis. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 5005 S.
