Janet Elaine Reinhardt's Obituary
REINHARDT, JANET ELAINE PARKER 63, of Garland died early Wednesday morning, September 11, 2013. She was born to the late Donald and Joy Parker, September 1, 1950 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Donald passed away when Janet was 10 years old and Joy later married Jim Richards who helped raise Janet. Janet graduated from Putnam City High School in 1968 and received a Masters in Speech Pathology from Oklahoma University in 1973. She married Clark Reinhardt in 1973, and they lived together in Oklahoma City before relocating to Garland/Richardsonarea in 1979. Janet was a speech pathologist while living in Oklahoma City and then changed careers to computer programmer when moving to Garland. Her career led to management in insurance information technology until 2013. Janet was passionate about her work and the friendships she acquired during her career. Her family in Oklahoma, Kansas, and California was important to her, visiting relatives and friends often. She also loved her community and entertaining. Keeno and Bunko were wonderful social events she looked forward to attend. She was invited to join one of her community’s first entertainment groups that would give many unusual themed parties. She enjoyed cooking with a flare. She was composed, smart and had many friends. She loved family vacations and travel and anything to do with her grandsons. She will be loved and missed. Janet is survived by her husband, Clark Reinhardt, son Nathan Reinhardt and his wife, Brandi Cavener-Reinhardt, and son, David Reinhardt. She also is survived by three grandsons: Preston, Devin, and Parker Reinhardt. Janet is also survived by her brother, Dennis Parker, his wife Maria and children Amanda and Anthony, stepsisters, Brenda Dixon and Terri Stanko. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel with an inurment at a later date.
