Janet Lynne Shafer was born on October 11, 1952 in Iowa Falls, Iowa and passed away on October 09, 2014 in Plano, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Victor A. Gunn and Margery L. Gunn. Janet is survived by her husband, Robert F. Austin; sisters, Judy Bronson, Kathy Buehner, and Marci Webb and their husbands, David Bronson and Mark Webb; nieces and nephews, Karl Buehner, Anne Davis and husband, Jeff Davs, Joshua Webb, Tori Webb, and Hailey Webb; stepchildren, Robert Austin III, Sabrina Austin, and Kimberly Hand and husband, Brock Hand. The visitation for Janet will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service for Janet will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238. Flowers may be sent to Restland Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to Walnut Hill United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
