Janette Lee Parker's Obituary
Born August 31, 1935 in Terrell, TX, passed away at her home in Carrollton, TX on July 5, 2012. Janette was the only child of the late Dr. Velton and Myrna McKinley. Attended Highland Park High School, Texas Tech and graduated with her Masters from Texas Women’s University. She moved to Carrollton and began a 26 year career as a teacher and administrator at R.L.Turner High School, retiring in 1998. Janette was a member of the Farmer’s Branch Women’s Club, Retired Teacher’s Association and Webb Chapel Methodist Church. She was an elegant lady that loved traveling the world, never meeting a stranger. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her many bridge clubs. In addition to her parents, Janette is predeceased by her long time loving companion, W.B. “Sky” Green and her daughter-in-law, Jeanne Parker. She is survived by her son Steve and wife Susan; son, Chris and wife, Nancy. Her greatest joys-grandsons: Bryan, Matt and Kyle; Michael and wife, Julie, Adam and Nick. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 p.m on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
