Janice Marie Collard's Obituary
Janice Marie Collard, 83, was born February 17, 1938 in Greenwood, Texas to Walter and Robbia Crow. She passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in Richardson, Texas.
Janice graduated from Sulphur Springs Texas high school in 1956 as Valedictorian and graduated with an Associate Degree North Lake College in Irving, Texas, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She married Billy Collard on July 7, 1957 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She taught business computer science courses at North Lake College before retiring to enjoy her grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and her hobbies included Texas Rangers baseball, reading fiction, classic rock music and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Collard, in 2013.
Survivors include her son, Gary Collard of Garland, Texas and daughter, Lori Collard McGill and husband Kevin of Garland, TX; grandchildren Jeff Collard and partner Casey Gabriel of Justin, Texas, John Collard and wife Julie of Flower Mound, Texas, Kevin McGill, Jr. and partner Becca Walters of Denton, Texas, Kiernan McGill of Garland, Texas and Keaton McGill of Denton, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ryin Jacksics of Justin, Texas, Hannah and Jackson Collard of Justin, Texas, Ariel Collard of Flower Mound, Texas, Nolan McGill of Richardson, Texas and Lila McGill of Denton, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, July 19, 2021 in The Memorial Chapel
