Janice Garrett of Dallas, Texas went to be with The Lord on January 7, 2026.
Janice was a phenomenal cook and made the best chicken fried steak in the south! Janice was a faithful employee of the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department, and upon her retirement, enjoyed TikTok, reading, and painting.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Edward Garrett; Big Momma, Katherine “Kate” Garrett; Ruth “Jo” Sullivan; and two great granddaughters, Brooklyn Grace Adamson and Laynee Roberts.
She is survived by her brother, Eddie Ray (Darlene) Garrett; her children, Jackie Long; Joey Long; Shelby (David) Adamson; and Lisa Long; her grandchildren, Destiny Long; Jacob Long; Adam Long; Ian Long; Autumn Best; Tuesday Long; and Noel Adamson; and her great grandchildren, Travis; Zander; Asher; Carter; and Piper.
A visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home.
