Mrs. Janice June Harrel's Obituary
HARREL, JANICE JUNE, of The Colony, Texas, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, July 20, 2007, in the presence of her loving husband. Mrs. Harrel was born on January 20, 1938, in Girard, Kansas, to Lewis J. and Edna M. Gascho. They precede her in death. Janice graduated from Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, Kansas, and then from Pittsburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She married Ronald Benson Harrel on September 8, 1957 in Pittsburg, Kansas. She taught elementary students in public schools throughout much of Southeastern Kansas and then preschool in Overland Park, Kansas, and finally Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Janice’s life passion was educating children. Janice was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Richardson. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; daughters, Diane Harrel and Cindy Haley and husband John; sons, Michael Harrel, and wife Myra, and Robert Harrel, and wife Mindy; grandchildren, Robert, Jr., Gracie Faye, Benson, Lorelei, Michael, Jr., Leilani, and Mara; and one sister, Kathryn White. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in her name to First United Methodist Church of Richardson, 503 N. Central Expy. Richardson, TX 75080 (972) 235-8385
