To John Charles Smith and family,
I had sent a note to you at your home earlier...my thoughts and prayers are with you and your two sons, Walt and Ronnie, and their extended family, and also with Carrie and her family too. You and Janice have been very special to me through too many years to count, not just in your sixty plus years of marriage, but long before that with you and I starting in the first grade together at Mt. Auburn, and Janice at Stonewall Jackson, and the three of us at Long and Woodrow. .Adding to the memories is Janice and I growing up in the Christian churches of Dallas and going to summer church camp at Athens. It was a pleasure knowing Janice and John.
As a neighbor of her sister, Carrre Lee Simpson, I would often visit with her at various family functions where she was often taking photos of the events. It is with sadness that I am sharing these words and I pray for special blessings to the friends and family as they travel this journey of loss.
