Janice Ann Surber's Obituary
Janice Ann Surber, 77, has joined her Lord and Savior Sunday July 21, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband Martin Ford Surber, Sr; son, Martin “Marty” Ford Surber, Jr; Daughter Denise Ann Surber Clifton; nephew, Gary Hind Jimmy Jr; sister, Dorothy Jean Evans Hind; parents R.O. and Mary Agnes Evans.Janice was born April 25, 1942 in Harlingen, Texas and was the oldest of 5 children. She attended Kaufman High School where she was Miss KHS and then furthered her education at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth where she obtained a degree in Education. She married the love of her life and worked as a teacher for 2 years. Her most treasured job was that as a wife to Martin and mother to Marty, Denise and Steven whom she raised in Garland, Texas. Being a soccer, baseball, football and dance mom was her true joy and passion in life.She is survived by her youngest son, Steven Alan Surber and his wife Ericka; sister Peggy Evans and her wife Stella Hess; Brother Rusty Evans and his wife Cindy; Steven Evans; Brother-in-law Gary Hind; Daughter-in-law Mary Surber; son-in-law David Clifton and wife Katy; the apple of her eye-her grandchildren Hunter and fiance Paige, Grant and longtime girlfriend Baylee, Ty, Ashley, Ford, Hayley, Blake, Elyse, Ava and many nieces and nephews.Janice lived a life of love with a powerful strong faith in her belief in Jesus Christ. Her favorite verse was 23 rd Psalm as she lived her life by the Golden Rule, “Treat other people the way you would want to be treated.” She was a beautiful role model of this rule.
