Janice Marilyn Ward passed away peacefully at her home in Dallas, Texas on May 26, 2024. Janice was born in Oakdale, Wisconsin on January 11, 1931, as the third child and first girl born to John Schleimer Sr, and Viola Reynolds Schleimer. She was born on her maternal grandfather's farm in Wisconsin. The family moved to Dallas soon after her birth for her father's job. Janice and her siblings all graduated high school at Technical High School in Dallas and then she soon married her husband, Wayne Ward.
Janice was such a beautiful soul and never spoke an ill word about anyone. She was a diligent hard worker as an executive secretary as she raised 3 children after the death of her husband. She was quite the classy lady. Her family was the heart of her being, and she dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her children Gary Ward, his wife Nadine Ward, daughter Merry Johnsey, and her husband Lee Johnsey. Her siblings John Schleimer Jr and his wife Beverly Schleimer, sister Betty Boruk and her husband George Boruk. Her Grandchildren Brian Ward, Robert Simon, Melissa Taylor and her husband Roy Taylor, Gena Dry and her husband Dale Dry, Travis Johnsey and his wife Lily Johnsey, Matthew Ward, Traci Salm and her husband Kevin Salm. Her pride and joy great-grandchildren Mackenzi, Nathan, Addison, Austin, Piper, Lyndon, Hailey, Deisy, John, Landen, Riley, and Corbin. And many more beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents John Schleimer Sr. and Viola Reynolds Schleimer, her husband Wayne Ward, her brother Richard “Dicky” Schleimer, her sister Magdelena JoAnn Hoye, her daughter Shari Ann Simon, and her grandson Erik Simon.
