When she was old enough to go to school, Janie Lois attended a one room schoolhouse in Buffalo where on the playground, at the age of six, she met and fell in love with James Dotson Green, who was eight years old. It was love at first sight. After graduating from school, she walked beside Mr. Green in marriage wherever the Lord guided them. Their beautiful marriage lasted 66 years and they joyfully shared the love of three sons: James Donald Green, Harry Lee Green, and Richard Allen Green. Her husband, Mr. Green, was an Elder in the Church of Christ and Mrs. Green dedicated her life to loving and supporting the church, her husband, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren. Her love was bountiful and unconditional and her beautiful life will long inspire all of those she leaves behind. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband, James Dotson Green, son Richard Allen Green, and granddaughter, Deleana Marie Womble.
