Janie Irwin's Obituary
IRWIN, JANIE (MARY JANE CHARTERS IRWIN) born on December 28, 1914, Janie Irwin (Mary Jane Charters Irwin) passed away December 16, 2006. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Dallas in 1948 with her children and husband, John Curtis Irwin, who passed away in 1980. Janie was well known in Dallas both as a realtor with her own company and then as the owner of The Spinning Wheel Antique Shop located on Fairmount Street. She is lovingly survived by her two children, Jack Charters Irwin of Dallas and Nancy Irwin Matthews, Centennial, CO. She had four grandchildren, Karyn Darcey Matthews, Weehawken, NJ, Andrew Garrett Reade Matthews, Boston, MA, Matthew Brett Irwin and Melanie Hewitt Irwin Smith both of Dallas. In addition, Janie had two great-granddaughters, Alexa Sofia Matthews and Caitlin Sienna Matthews of Boston, MA. Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2006. A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Restland Memorial Park.
