Ms. Janis “Wynell” Cockrill age 92, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, in Denton, Texas. She was born to Mr. Lloyd Cherry and Ms. Nettie Duncan on Thursday, October 23, 1930, in Rockwall, Texas. Janis leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
She leaves 2 daughters Virginia Lou Hawley- Spouse Keith Hawley. Catherine Sue Compton. 1 brother Larry Cherry-Spouse Gerry Cherry. 1 sister Betty Lou Conger. Grandchildren: Jeremy Compton-Spouse Crystal, Janis Alba-Spouse Ricardo. Great grandchildren: Angelica Kent, Adriana Alba, Antoinette Alba, Makayla Hawley, Alyssa Keman. Great-great grandchildren: Henry and Raelyn Kent. 2 nieces and 5 nephews. Preceded by Spouse: Sidney and parents Lloyd and Nettie.
