Janis Lynne Eisch's Obituary
an Eisch, CPA was born on April 14, 1953 to Shirley and Herbert Dawkins. Jan
passed away on December 31, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. Jan is preceded in death by her
parents, Shirley and Herbert Dawkins, and her brother James.
Jan met and fell in love with her beloved husband of 48 years, Rich, as a college
student. She is survived by Rich, their precious dog, Lexi, and the many friends,
clients and colleagues who were at the very heart of her life.
In 1985 she established J. Eisch and Associates, P.C. a successful tax and accounting
practice in Dallas, Texas, and built strong relationships with clients and peers. Jan
was incredibly loyal to her clients, cared deeply for her employees and friends, and
always focused on their best interests. One of Jan’s last statements was a request to
take care of her clients. The members of her company, including Rich, have decided
to honor this request by continuing the business in her name as a legacy to her life’s
work.
Jan and Rich initially juggled separate careers, but after several years traveling as an
electrical engineer, Rich joined the firm in 2011. They were an incredible team with
Rich assuming all the technology responsibilities, which was an increasingly
important part of the practice. Most people who knew Jan and Rich were aware of
their working hours. Although Jan was always available by appointment, she
generally started work around 2 pm and would return home around 4:30-5:00 am.
She appreciated the quiet time to concentrate on her clients’ individual needs and
complex issues.
Jan and Rich loved to travel, and spent many vacations together in France, which
was her favorite travel destination. Jan loved everything French. She was a walking
encyclopedia on French architecture, the best restaurants, places to shop for the
beautiful French clothing she loved, copper cookware, hotels, museums in her
favorite city, Paris, and was always generously providing information to people who
were traveling there. Their travels also included other European destinations, as
well as Hong Kong.
Her friends and clients will miss her knowledge, confident voice, loyalty and
inimitable style.
Services will be held on January 27th, 2023 at 2pm at Restland Funeral Home, 13005
Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
