Janis Eleene Goram-Blackman 1/26/1951- 11/18/2021
Janis was seventy years young and born to us on 1/26/1951 in Selma, AL to T.J. and Ruby Goram. Janis went to be with the Lord on 11/18/2021 in Dallas, TX.
Janis was married to George W. Blackman on 4/4/1975 and remained a faithful and loving wife until the day of her passing.
Janis will be remembered as a woman of God first. She was a caring and kind person who would literally give you the shirt off of her back and fix you a plate of food for your soul. Janis put people in the forefront of her life and ministered to their needs. If you needed a shoulder to cry on or a friend to laugh with, Jan was your girl. She spent the majority of her working life in Human Resources, Women and Children's ministry and eventually becoming a substitute teacher in Fairfield, TX where she and her husband chose to retire. Janis was a beloved wife, friend, sister, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to serving others and for that, we are ever grateful to have been in her life.
